Corpus Christi is essentially a beachside city. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a nice summer day on the coast or a stroll in the sun. However, the high humidity from the water makes it an ideal place for pests to congregate. Cockroaches, for example, are attracted to the water. Roaches can become a big problem in your home if they’re left unchecked. Always make sure to put away food, seal containers, watch out for water drippage, and take out the garbage.
Ants are another big concern in Corpus Christi. Household ants, carpenter ants, and fire ants can easily find their way onto or into your property. Carpenter ants cause serious damage to the structural integrity of homes and need to be exterminated as soon as possible. As most people in Texas are aware, fire ants are nothing to mess with. They cause itchy, painful, red bumps when they bite. As soon as you see ants on your property, simply call Fox Pest Control. Fire ants, carpenter ants, and household ants don’t have to be a bother.
Our Fox team members love Corpus Christi. In addition to having personal relationships with the city, the team has connected with many different people and businesses through service. In September of 2020, 11 Fox employees banded together to paint a women and children’s center located at 630 Robinson St. for Corpus Christi Hope House. Our Corpus team continues to look for ways to give back and become involved each month.
On a more personal level, Corpus Christi Branch manager Jordon Pentacost enjoys going to the downtown park on Northshore with his wife and kids. He’s become more used to the Texas heat after living in Corpus for five years, and he ventures out with his family every chance he gets.
Tyler Moore, one of our Corpus Christi Pest Pros, was born and raised in Corpus Christi. As a kid, he loved surfing at JP Luby Beach and still spends time there to this day. Tyler’s also a big fan of the food in Corpus Christi. He even calls the town a “foodie’s dream.” Niko’s Steakhouse and Pier 99 are two of his favorite places to eat. Tyler won’t be leaving his hometown anytime soon because it has everything he could want. His fiance is a 4th grade teacher at Zachary Kolda Elementary, and he enjoys the life they have serving the community and enjoying the Corpus Christi atmosphere.
